ADS has developed a suite of
systems to generate and analyse GBAS / LGF transmissions, whether they be in the data
format of LAAS or GRAS. These systems consist of two principal entities:
- Hardware: Mini-VDR VDB Signal Generator, Mini-VDR VDB Receiver-Decoder, VDB Power
Transmitter, VDB Receiver
- Software : VDB Generator, VDB Analyser, GBAS Analyser
Hardware
ADS manufactures the small portable Mini-VDR.
The Mini-VDR platform is ideally suited to organisations wanting to generate low power
VDB signals (50mW) or monitor a VDB signal in space either in the laboratory in the field.
The Mini-VDR is also available in the mobile VDB (MVDB) platform which is a fully portable
briefcase system which includes the Mini-VDR signal generator/decoder, laptop PC,
batteries, chargers etc. The MVDB platform provides at least 3 hours operation off its
internal batteries.
In addition to providing the received data the Mini-VDR receiver is capable of
providing a range of RF parameters with each received VDB packet.
Software
The VDB Generator, VDB Analyser and GBAS Analyser applications are designed to operate
on a PC. The VDB Generator enable users to construct DO-246 messages in support of DO-253
MOPS testing. The VDB Analyser and GBAS Analyser applications have the ability to show VDB
RF and message data to the user. For GBAS environments, the GBAS analyser utilises a GPS
receiver to provide DGPS and FAS waypoint solutions to monitor and test GBAS ground
stations.
Integrated Systems
MVDB Generator - Mobile VDB Generator System integrates the MVDL
platform with VDB Generator application.
MVDB Analyser - Mobile VDB Analyser System integrates the MVDL
platform with the VDB Analyser application.
MVDB GBAS Analyser - Mobile VDB GBAS Analyser System integrates the
MVDL platform with the VDB Analyser and GBAS Analyser applications.
