The ATN Decoder has a similar 'look and feel' to PVDL, making the transition to the ATN Decoder effortless for those who have worked with PVDL.

It comprises three main areas.

• PDU Snake - Displays which direction and the type of PDU captured. Each 8208 and mSNDCF PDUs are represented by a box, types being differentiated by colour and text, as well as a marker showing how the two levels correlate with each other.
• Field Inspector - Provides a formatted view of the data contained within the selected ATN Data Block
• Hex Analysis - Presents a full hexadecimal readout separated by ATN packet component of the selected ATN Data Block.

The ATN Decoder has the ability to detect and highlight errors within received data within the Hex Analysis, while showing successfully extracted components before errors occur.

There are also built-in filters such as:

• ICAO Registration Filtering (Aircraft and Ground Station)
• Protocol Layer Filtering (CLNP, IDRP, ES-IS, ASE)
• Specific Application Service Element (ASE) Filtering (CM, CPDLC, ADS).

The ATN Decoder is complimentary to laboratory and field testing as well as a powerful enhancement to new and existing PVDL customers seeking ATN analysis tools.

For a completely portable ATN air or ground station, PVDL is fully compliant with Airtel's ATN stack, enabling a VDL Mode 2 connected ATN environment.
