 The
MPRT-500 Multi Protocol Ramp Test Set is a fully portable ramp test set that provides
go-no-go verification of installed ACARS and VDL Mode 2 (including AOA) avionics systems.
The system is ideally suited for testing of CNS/ATM installations. GNSS LAAS/GBAS (VDB)
testing capability will be added as future options.
By emulating a datalink ground station, the MPRT-500 confirms correct operation of the
aircraft's VDR and CMU / ATSU. Additional testing confirms that on-board communications
with flight deck displays, printers and other nominated peripherals are fully functional.
In addition to checking the serviceability of on-board systems, the MPRT checks and
reports on marginal performance of the aircraft VHF data-transceiver -
